There are a number of different versions of Microsoft SQL Server you can choose from. Your choice will be based largely on your requirements and budget. For new installations, a minimum of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Standard or Enterprise is required. If deploying with Web-collect.net or our .Net Thin Client, a Processor License is required. Other options for smaller agencies include the use of the Microsoft Data Engine. For Hosted installations, SQL Server is included in the price.

Microsoft’s Windows 2000, 2003 and XP are recommended.

Wincollect is a client\server and web browser based application meaning it performs at its peak with a dedicated Server environment running Windows 2003 server. Deployments with Web-collect.net or the Thin Client require an Internet Information Server.

Wincollect comes with hundreds of stock reports, designed for nearly every type of reporting scenario. All of Wincollect’s core reports can be exported easily from Wincollect to Excel, Word, PDF, Email, Text, and a whole host of other formats. Additionally, CollectTech can design custom reports for those rare reporting scenarios, or teach your staff how to design them and place them into the Reports menus. In addition to designing reports in Crystal, the data can be linked real-time to a number of 3rd party applications (like Excel, SQL Server Reports, Access, Paradox, FoxPro,
OpenOffice) via an ODBC link, to allow the agency to design their own reports in whatever application they feel comfortable.

CollectTech Solutions provides the Wincollect Enterprise Suite to the Americas. The Enterprise Suite includes the entire range of Wincollect applications, as well as the .NET XML (or Thin) Client designed specifically for collectors, and Web-Collect.NET, designed for remote access by your clients. Both Server/Premise based and Hosted installations include the entire Suite.

While there is no minimum required number of users for either type of installation, we recommend startups and agencies under 5 users begin on our Hosted platform. Hosted users can easily convert to a server-based solution as they grow beyond the small-agency hosted economic advantages.

Support is provided via a monthly support charge in addition to the User License fee. Support options include provisions for Telephone and Web-based logging and tracking. With support teams in three offices worldwide, you should never be without support.

Upgrades for existing products are provided free of charge only for installations with Support Contracts.

The cost of Wincollect depends on the version you purchase, the number of con-current users and the additional services you require. Pricing for server-based solutions is provided on a quotation basis after an initial needs analysis. Pricing for Hosted installations is $150 per month per user.

From a database size standpoint, Microsoft SQL Server is equipped to handle millions of debts. For extreme data processing scenarios, multiple SQL Servers can be clustered together seamlessly.

From an end user standpoint, going beyond several hundred users is no problem at all with our .Net Thin Client. The ability to add additional web servers makes the application highly scalable.
